Colby McLemore's November Award-Winning Photograph

Non-Credit Photography Certificate Instructor Colby McLemore was named 2011 – 2012 Photographer of the Year for the second time on Wednesday, December 7, 2011—his birthday. Earlier this fall, he was recognized by Tennessee’s Professional Photographer’s Association for having the highest combined scores from a panel of five professional master photographers. (He won a total of 11 awards in that state competition.)
On the 7th of December, Professional Photographers of East Tennessee awarded him its top honor for having received the highest cumulative number of votes throughout the year from his professional peers. Colby placed in every monthly competition, except one, and for one month, he received all the awards (first, second, and third places). “Every dog has its day,” Colby says. “Apparently, this dog has had more than one. I’m overwhelmingly blessed.”
