The American Society for Engineering Management (ASEM) sponsors a management development program that facilitates and maintains competence in engineering management among engineers, scientists, and technologists. ASEM has developed and maintains a Body of Knowledge (BOK) to define best practices for engineering managers. The BOK is the standard by which to evaluate a technical manager’s knowledge and skills in managing activities and allocation of resources in engineering, science, and/or technologically driven business environments. The certificate program has been developed for those who wish to be trained in the fundamentals of engineering management without the additional testing and continuing education requirements. Instructors: Dr. Jerry Westbrook, PE; Rod Grubb, PE, PMP; Dr. Donald Tippett; Dr. Greg Sedrick, PE; Dr. Paul Componation, PE; Chris Edmonds; Tony Mayfield, PMP; and Dr. Julie Fortune, PE. All courses are held at the UT Conference Center, downtown Knoxville.
