UT Professional & Personal Development instructor P J Silver was recently lauded for her 10 years of exemplary service as executive director of the Blount County Education Foundation (BCEF).

“She loves to serve. When educators called, we knew it was not a burden or a chore,” BCEF board member LaNae Keith said of Silver in a Blount Today article. “She was delighted she could come forward and serve the faculty and the kids. I know she is moving into a new service orientation, and I will be expecting to see her love of community arise in those areas.”

Silver is currently pursuing a nursing degree from Lincoln Memorial University and would like to work in Mexico after completing her degree.

Silver also will continue to lend her expertise to UT Professional & Personal Development this fall by teaching courses in the UT Grant Writing Certificate Program.

Her current course schedule includes Program Evaluation (Oct. 12), Basic Grant Writing for Foundations (beginning Sept. 14), Intermediate Grant Writing for Foundations (beginning Oct. 12), and Advanced Grant Writing for Foundations (beginning Nov. 9)
