I think technology professionals in East Tennessee will be drawn to the ITIL Foundation v3 Certificate course that will be offered by UT Professional & Personal Development for the first time in early April.

The ITIL Foundation v3 Certificate is a mark of distinction for both management and technology professionals, as well as anyone who wishes to possess and demonstrate a systemic grasp of the strategic and operational challenges of an organization’s information technology.

The course is set for April 7-9 (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day) at the UT Conference Center in downtown Knoxville. The course fee is $1,295; online registration is already available.

ITIL is a public domain process framework suite developed by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in the United Kingdom and now stewarded by the internationally recognized Information Technology Service Management Forum. Learn more about ITIL.

The course includes 21 contact hours of training. (View a course outline.)

Also, a 90-minute certification exam is conducted at the end of the course and immediate status of certification is provided with a successful score. The exam fee is included in the course fee.
