I’ve recently written about a few of our new non-credit courses.

I want to continue today by telling you about “Tiffany-Style Stained tiffany_lampGlass Lamps,” a six-week art course that begins October 15.

You’ll learn all of the skills necessary to build a small stained glass Tiffany-style lamp using more than 100 pieces of glass.

Skills will include transferring design elements to glass, cutting and grinding glass, application of copper foil to the glass, assembling the glass pieces for the project, soldering the project, and assembling the lamp.

The course fee is $239; materials needed for the course are an additional $85.

Trained stained glass artisan Harold Gibson is limiting the class size to six participants to ensure personal instruction.

Gibson also will teach “Beginning Stained Glass for the Hobbyist” ($119) beginning September 17. This course must be taken prior to Tiffany-Style Stained Glass Lamps.
