actor_maskOver the next few weeks, I plan to write about several of our new non-credit courses on tap for Fall 2009.

Today I want to highlight “Beginning Acting,” a fun and interactive course taught by journeyman actor Steve Fitchpatrick (M.F.A. in acting from DePaul University.).

You’ll explore the basic tools and techniques of acting, including voice and movement, improvisation, scene, and monologue study.

The eight-session course begins Sept. 15 and continues through Nov. 3.

The course fee is $249. Participants will need to bring a yoga mat or towel to each class session.

Prior acting experience is not required. In fact, this course is ideal for persons who want to improve their public speaking, confidence, and presentation skills.
