Since spring officially begins tomorrow, I wanted to remind everyone about our popular Smoky Mountain Field School, which offers hikes, workshops, and other adventures in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

It’s time to get outside and enjoy an instructor-led mountain adventure.

“The strength of these programs comes from the enthusiasm, knowledge, dedication, experience, and love of Great Smoky Mountains National Park that instructors bring to each and every course,” Park Superintendent Dale A. Ditmanson says as the Field School begins its 31st season.

I checked course registrations this morning, and we’ve got a few spots remaining for “Polliwogs, Eggs, and Singing Frogs,” a family-oriented program in Cades Cove on March 28.

We’ve also got very limited space remaining in “Spring Wildflower & Walker Sisters’ Homesite Day Hike” on April 11 and “The Perfect Hike” on April 18.
