The report found that between 2000 and 2010 the percentage of adults receiving advice to exercise increased by nearly 10 percent. The advice was given to those with a variety of health problems, including: hypertension, cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes. Physical activity has been proven to reduce the risk of chronic health conditions.
